There isn't one that will fit the autometer sender, If your not using your stock choke you can get an adaptor and put it in the choke thermostat hole on the water pump housing, or like I did drill and tap a hole next to that on the thermostat housing.

The drawback to using that kind of placement for the temp sender, is it won't tell you the engine is nearing meltdown if the thermostat is stuck closed.......

What kind of sender are you putting in that stock location? Its far too small to fit the automter sender...
And yes, I wouldn't bother with that adaptor that goes on the upper rad hose, reading the temp on the engine itself is much more useful information.

You cannot use the factory sender with an aftermarket gauge. You can install the new sender at he engine block heater location and the drivers sdie of the engine block near the bottom. Its a hex screw.

Be carefull, that thread is 1/8" BSPT not the 1/8" NPT that your sensor will be. The pitch difference is 27 TPI verses 28 TPI. I have heard guys having zero problems then again I have heard of guys that could never get it to properly seal up.

The proper way to do it would be to use an adaptor. McMaster Carr part number 4860K141 is what you want.

Sorry, heres the final install picture. Your autometer unit should come with the adaptor you need for the install, mine did.

Depens on the hardware store I am sure. Most will stock NPT stuff but BSPT is not the normal on this side of the pond.
