I posted a thread a while ago about funny sound from engine like a bird chirping and dug a little deeper. I took off my exhaust manny and inspected the apex seals and found out that they were all good this was hard i was laying on the windshield and spinning the water pump pully with my left hand . replaced old gasket and reinstalled exhaust after replacing cats with str8 pipe . Next I put everything back together again like 5th time and started the car it was running on one rotor and revved really slow and had a loping idle so i ohmd out the tps it was bad and replaced one off of an extra carb tps i had laying around I made sure it was good still had a lope in the idle and revved real slow. I next proceeded to check the spark each leading at at time my wife would turn the car over and id check spark I have direct fire with an MSD 6a delivering my spark and spark was really strong on both. I then kept the spark plugs out and carnked it over to listen for my 6 compression pulses and they are loud and consistant ( my engine fuse is unplugged so i wouldnt be feeding it fuel). Now i am at a standstill and dont know what to do next can anyone help me out? Thanks Brandon.

High probabilty of having bad fuel injector connectors. Splice in a new pair.

Junk yard is the best bet and then have them cleaned and balanced... or at the least if yours have not been cleaned have that done.

of so i just ripped into my connectors and found what looks to be a ground wire that runs onlg the same wire ad the o2 sensor wire but there is on ground wire connector Whats up with that? I have the connectors off and have visually looked at the wires that run from the injector connecters to the first Y in the electtrical bundle, do I need to remove more tape from the bundle or is that enough inspecting? Keep in mind that my connectors made a connection but the tan plastic that has the clip around it were a little broken. Has this happened to anyone b4?

This is why all of this happened I had my injectors cleaned and flow tested installed them and now the car runs like **** like no power and the idle fluctuates but i have great spark and compression is good i even compared pulses with another running 7 I have and its the same.

Sounds like you may just have a bad connection... have you flipflopped the injectors between the ports?

No I did not do that. I just assumed that they were bad connectors very brittle and they already broke so im going to order them from mazda tomorrow. it has to be it cuz i am currently reading other posts with the same problem and i cant see what else it could be.

buy a fuel injector harness test light or "node" light 2 weeks ago I took of my intake mani to fix my aux ports and had the same problem turns out I must have pulled on the injector harness and the wires backed out of the connectors

on another note my car also makes a chirping noise only at low speed while decelerating in gear

I am getting more and more convinced that this is the problem. I was reading one Long Duck's post and he said he purchased some pigtails from autozone for 15 bucks i went shucks and they wanted 64 dollars so ill try mazda for the right terminoligy plus they have Illustrated parts breakdown of our cars. So thanks for the feedback everyone. Brandon.
