Metallic_Rock and i came up w/ this in an afternoon, using a kenmore sink metal drain ring, and bits of my old gsl-se intake tubing, w/ a bonez Cone Filter at the end of a 3" exhaust pipe:

I don't see much performance advantage with that setup.

If I'm reading this right, your kit will include the bell and a longer stud.. After you cut the hole in the bottom plate, how does the bell attach?

Cute, drifter. Hey you ever see any UFO's there in your town? Thats the place where peeps see them right?

Yes quadman. The bell will need to be epoxied in place. It could be pop riveted in too I guess, but that would disrupt the airflow somewhat. I'd prefer if it was JB welded/epoxied.

I keep forgeting the K.I.S.S rule... In the pic you posted, it almost looks like a gromlet of some type..

Have any idea when these will be ready to hit the market?

You know Carl, now that you're a mod, you can fix your spelling on this one.

It looks like someone else has discovered another use for the aeroport! Just a bell shaped mouth for speaker box ports that can be had in a number of sizes.

Nah, its better to leave it now Brian.

Rotarygod. Mine is a spun aluminum bell, shaped for the purpose. I just did a search for these aeroports. They are plastic and poorly shaped for this.

That's cool! Much more durable too. But you do have to admit you thought about it!

When I looked at the pic, I thought it could be promising at first. But the shape is not real good (the radius looks too small) and plastic wont last.

Heh. After FBDRifter's post, I think the pirate spelling in the title is apropos. He pretty well pirated the thread for me. All I can remember is the dancing banana's new moves.

I am fabbing both. The prototype non smog is done. The prototype smog is almost finished (alot more work to get it fitted good). Too much time LOL. But the good news is that I'm making the price 45-50$ instead of my original estimate.

LOL, CFM numbers are on the first page. Your thinking of a screen as a diffuser? Doubt itll help, but I may try it for the hell of it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for an intake mode for a gsl-se? I have yet to see anything decent for fuel injection. I read from i think rx7carl to remove something from the air box itself? I can't remember, but every little bit helps.
