Apex seals and rebuild kits?

Apex seals and rebuild kits?
Ok so I came to the conclusion to put a rebuild on my engine, just so I know what's there. So I looked around and found, carbon, cyro, iron from companys like RB atkins goopy then ss <- I believe thats the name. I'm not looking for big power on this one but a good bridged port. So do I half to worry about pinging with a bridged engine? This is going to be a date night car. For now so I want the reliability.

Mr. Failure, excuse me for saying, but you sound like you're speaking out your *** and your elbow at the same time.
You want a reliable bridge port date night car?
Dude, have you ever done a rotary or a lady?
Like Mr. Anderman said, keep it stock.
You can get parts at Atkins Rotary, Mazdatrix, racingbeat or RX7.com.
That's assuming you know how to put them together, of course.
Let us know how it goes, with the rebuild and the chicks.

Its a 85 se fuel injected. And I know of all the sights and what thay consist of.( but as to seals it seams the Chrome plated ones are the best but for a heavy price) And by reliable I dont want a rebuild in 10k miles from now. But if I can't get that with a bridge then I won't. And yes I have two kids and a wife I have that handled. But I have never had a rotary.

Well I would say to keep it stock port,
maybe medium or Large street port will be more adequate to your power needs and late night idle :P
I think that you have to put in perspective that larger you port , less engine life you'll have
In other hands you have an N/A which you should get
Over 100k with a good rebuilt.
Seals wise , I would go OEM , lots of people are running OEM on turbo'd car and have decent lifespan with well over 300rwhp
Anyways just my .02 cent

Damn, he's got an SE. I'm jealous.
Welcome to the club Kyle! We like to mess with the newbies, you've come to the right place for advice, good and bad.
On the rebuild, you won't really know what you're up against until you take the motor apart. The big issues are the condition of the rotor housings, rotors and end plates. All of these will show wear on a high mileage engine, so you need to know if your good to go on those parts.
Then just do a stock rebuild. Properly done, it will be good for 100,000 miles plus and ****, you got an SE, it don't get any better than that.
And if you've never built a rotary engine, now's the time. They really aren't that hard to do, standard shop procedures, easier than raising kids for sure.

Kyle I do owe you an apology for my sarcastic but meant to be funny first post.
It's just that when you included reliable bridge port and date night in the same sentence, that image j_tso came to mind.
You sitting behind the wheel of this rumbling rotary fume spitting bridge port with the girl friend sitting in the passenger seat, wondering what's she's getting into.
And go with the plans, sounds like you've found some interesting stuff. We all debate endlessly about apex seals of course, ceramic, carbon, stock or aftermarket.
I must say I've never heard about these chrome plated ones, however. You got more info on them?

Sorry they are nrs ceramic seals I miss read it. And my wife loves the sound of them so thats not a problem lol. But I looked some more and would a mild street be a bit more reliable on that aspect. And our date nights consist of normal date stuff and local car meats. So I want that brap and power. Im looking for the happy medium between both. But when we open our track thats when it will all change. I ask a lot I know but thats what the forum is for right?
