apex seal stuck

Hello I have a apex seal stuck on the rear rotor of my 12a. The engine was rebuilt with only 3000 mile after the build, the the car got wrecked and sat for about a year outside. It is suck in not out, and I have not ran the engine since. Is it safe to start it and see if it might pop out or is there a better way, thank you.

Id put some ATF, MMO into the chambers and turn it over by hand and let it sit for a few days.

Go to the archive, read the tread called "Decarbonizing a Rotary" and pay close attention to the "siezed engine" section.

Good luck, and have fun

When you can see the seal in the exhaust port, can you move it at all?

if its stuck as in jammed..your gonna need a rebuild! and the more you turn it over the more it damages the housing and the rotor.
