Um, if you're talking stock, you're crazy. I'm sure it's been modded in, though. . . .

I haven't heard of one myself, and I don't really see the use of it. We can just put in a regular 13 B and have a little bit less power (or just do with our 12 A), but it's helluva cheaper than buying an REW. Myself, I wouldn't put an REW in my X just because of the fact that I HATE turbo. More of a drag race kind of thing, and our cars were DEFINATELY not built for drag. But, I guess they are sequential, so, um, I'll shut up.

How is wanting a respectable amount of power a drag race thing?

im contemplating using a twin setup for my blowthrough
small turbo for minimal lag and max lowend matched with a medium sized turbo for my top end

I dont want to throw heaps of boost at it with stock rotors and e-shaft

If I had to do it over again I would probably go with an FD motor/ecu without the sequential turbo--use an S5 or hybrid turbo instead. I know someone has done it. The T2 swap is probably the easiest and the FD swap just a little harder/more expensive. I like the FD intake manifold much better--but not sure if it will fit with a S5 turbo. Search around and you'll find it.

I drove a 12a for 14 years, then a GSL-SE for one year and now I have an 88 T2 setup in the SE and not fully tweaked in yet but real close. The turbo power is great. If you are still driving a stock 12a you don't know what you are missing--I know. Just about any new stock car or truck can beat a 12a (yea I'm sure there are exceptions). For the 80's these 7's were pretty good, but nowdays, they are way underpowered--the turbo makes them respectable again.

My 2 cts.
