Anyone got a diagram or the front suspension?
I just want to see if there is anything up front I can adjust/tighten/replace to achieve a better feel from the car. I get the feeling something is loose or worn.
---The Story---
My car has been modified since I bought it in 1996. It has tokico adjustibles and I THINK tokico springs which together seem to lower the car 3/4" from what I can tell. In 1996, I bought some 15x7 rims with a 195/50/15 tire and swapped out my SE rims. Recently I took the car in for something or other and was told my 2 front tokicos were dead. The car also has poly bushings, front & rear sways, and a roll bar, all of which add to the feeling of the steering. I have never driven a stock 85 SE so I have no idea if my car feels normal and everytime I get in my miata, I think, "Damn, my rx7s fuct up.". I have all the original sways, springs, and shocks and I am considering putting it all back on to see the difference but I would rather get a good look at how things are supposed to be and see if I can fix it without all the above mentioned hassle.
TIA

Manual or power steering? If manual then http://www.mazspeed.com/steeringgear.htm also, check the idler arm bushing. It has a tendancy to wear out quickly. A slightly moded 1st gen should handle as well as a stock miata. If all checks out, then maybe new shocks and struts are in order.
