Anyone else? Rollback without e-brake?

I don't know if this is just my car or not but if I am on an incline as I noticed today my car will roll back. I had the car in 1st gear and turned off and noticed I started to roll back. I don't have an ebrake at the moment because the cable is snapped and I have to take it in and get that fixed because I don't really know how to go about doing that. Anyways is something wrong with my car because with truck I had which was manual I never had that problem.

Yes, that can happen. Victoria British has the brake cables. Find out which one you need and order it, they aren't that hard to replace. The pins are usually rusted in and can be stuborn to get out. PB blaster will take care of that.

If you don't know how to replace a brake cable, then you will be spending a small fortune on little repairs. Time to get out the Haynes and FSM and start learning.

Well I have the haynes manual I picked that up last week and I have the victoria brittish catalogue. I guess it couldn't hurt but I just don't want to **** it up more and end up paying more money to get it fixed if I mess up but whatever I guess otherwise I will never learn.

Not hard to do at all, and can almost not mess this up. Do you work on your car much? I'm alwaysed impress at how easy it is to do most things on these cars.

No I don't really have a place to work on my car which sucks. Hopefully I can move away from this crappy appartment and get a real garage so I can actually work on stuff. The garage I have here barely fits my car in it.

Wish I had any garage. Three weeks ago I worked outside in my driveway... installed all poly in the front end, ball joints, wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, SS brake lines, polished rims, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fixed a sunroof leak, finished rustproofing floorboards, and painted my floorboards sunrise red. Dam now that I made that list, that was alot of work, sheesh. Time for a beer
