Any truth in this?

Hi all. Somebody has told me that an oil cooler from a 2nd Gen. 1988 RX-7 is compatible, and can be used with the 1985 Rx-7 GSL-SE. It has been said that the oil cooler will bolt on perfectly in replacement of the existing oil cooler. Is ther any truth to this? Or, is this false? Thanks guys.

It is, but you have to make longer hoses for it I'm pretty sure. Do a search, it's been covered before...

it will require modifying the mounting bracket and yes, the hoses needs to be completely changed. Remember that the FC's oil cooler have a banjo fittings for inlet and outlet, instead of the pre-83's straight fitting.
