Any one have the polly bushings in the rear?

I'm thinking about getting these for the 4 links and watts linkage. Is it worth it? How hard is it to get the old bushings out and new ones in?

Have 'em in lower links only. Ride seems smoother, rear end a little more predictable.

How hard to get the old ones out? I used a ball joint press, an air hammer, a torch, and a choice selection of profanities. It sucked badly, and when I saw that the old bushings weren't as bad as I first thought, I started to think it was a real Bad Idea[tm].

New ones just slid right in, like butta. Then again, i firmly believe that there's no such thing as too much bushing grease. I ran out of the stuff ES sends, but silicone brake caliper lube works just fine. (It's bushing-safe... it has to be, it's meant to lube caliper bushings!)

Thumbs up

That's one of my Winter-time projects, putting poly on the rear. I'd of had it done by now, but clutch job got into the way. Got the profanities lined up, as well as the air tools and fire...Sort of feel like Thor when I consider tackling it.....

Denny, from the 'ol corncrib....

Exclamation

what ever you do DON'T put new bushes into the rear upper arms....

as most of you know the rx7 rear end has uneven arms and bind
up rather easy.. puting poly bushes in the upper rear arms will make the rear suspension bind up even quicker...

in both the rx7 i have owned i have used the polys in the lower arms and left the orginal (worn) bushes in the uppers.
must guys racing 1st gen RX7's here in Australia use this technque

they are fine to go into the watts link though make sure you use plenty of lube
