antenna hole?

is there any way to put body filler over a dented/wavey antenna hole you want to keep, without covering the hole with filler making it harder to sand back?

I can't comment on that but ebay is showing some temporary rubber plugs to fill the hole I was looking to try (or permanent if you leave it in there).

I dont listen to much radio and would rather hear the engine anyway so Im in the same boat as you.

If anyone has used these plugs or some other temporary solution Im interested to hear about that as well.

If you're going to repaint anyway, you could have someone wield a piece over it. I think that's called 'shaving' in the custom world, for example if someone shaved the door handles off their 60's custom pickup. They fill the holes by wielding and grinding/sanding until everything is flush. A lot of work to be sure, but if you're repainting everything anyway, it'd be worth the time to make it right. Of course, I may have misunderstood that you were painting ... if you're not, then a rubber plug makes sense. Just make sure it seals good.

same NISxMO id rather hear the engine too but the antenna looks neat.
the car came with a dummy antenna and id rather have the hole there if I ever wanted to put a real one in.

sorry forgot to mention I am repainting,a while ago I knocked down the hole a bit and put fibreglass matting and resin under the hole and body filler over the top.
but then I changed my mind and grinded back the filler and ripped out the fibreglass.

I sanded back the filler yesterday till some of the high spots showed up around the hole and tried to tap the hole flush with a slapping spoon and dolly.
im going to have another go at it today but its hard to spread the filler nicely without going over the hole to make sanding easier
