It's only 4,592km away, just a short jog really
Nah, I envy whoever will pick it up, but as it stands it will be a year from this month before I can manage to clear debts and save up enough for my 5k paint-and-body-work on my 84GS.
Good luck to whoever gets it. I've definitely gotta source the wing and kit.

You think so? Just today the owner asked me if I wanted it for my 20B project. Of course he'd keep the engine, exhaust, anything 13B-related. He wants 2500 for the rolling shell. Seems a bit steep to me.
I was planning on using the light blue '81 S model for the 20B swap because I like the way it drives. Then again I also like the way this black '83 drives.
I'm not sure what I should do.

I want to look more into those wheels but i can seem to find where to really buy them.
I found this
http://superbuytires.com/Team%20Dynamics/Motorsport/ and
http://www.wheelspecs.com/Team-Dynam...ort_wm394.aspx
but nothing really like buy them in 4x110 lol

Well I got an "ok" shell up here for 1k, but it needs a full paint job that will take another few thousand.... then you add the engine and the body kit... I would probably try to negotiate it down in the range of $4, but if that body has no bin rust and needs no body work and the engine's got good comp and runs well, there's no reason it's out of the question.
Just think of the cost it would take to buy a $1k shell and build it to that point. You're spending $2k on the engine, $1k for the kit after tax, shipping, etc... plus the intake, exhaust, suspension.... it ads up quick.
Of course I've never seen the car but you'd bet I'd be there with a pad and paper drawing out what it would cost me vs. what he wants for it.

Well it's still available if I change my mind, but he'll sell if there is a buyer. My problem is too many projects (5 or 6 ahead of the 20B) and the crappy weather limiting the time I can spend.

He has decided to sell it. The car is done right. It's a turn key drift car (sorry for the JDM tight yo phrase I just used lol).
He did a couple videos yesterday of the car in action. I'll post a link here when they're uploaded to the net.

Just a little followup for anyone that remembers when I posted this project.

Nice huh? Sorry about the crappy putfile service. The videos could be uploaded to youtube at some point if there is any interest, and if PercentSevenC still has the originals for better quality.
By the way, the exhaust that came off this car turned out ot be a Mind Train. I had no idea. I was just going by what I could see, and it looked crappy because it had a cat. Heh, I guess I learned that looks can be deceiving.
It's now sold in case you were wondering. The car and the exhaust. Only the videos remain. Enjoy.

Nope. The original videos are crappy quality. That's why they look bad on Putfile. Actually the quality of Putfile's conversion is a lot better than Youtube's. I'm not a fan of Youtube, but if people really want them hosted somewhere else, I can re-upload them.

Maybe it's just my computer then, or maybe all those stupid ads slow it down, but the frame rate is very low on my computer. Youtube videos look a lot better by comparison and aren't as much of a resource hog. Plus load times are faster.
Wow, you're actually right. When I read "ads" I went, "Wait, what ads?" I turned off Adblock and the video slowed down and the framerate dropped and there were ads all over my video and it was a generally crappy experience. My bad, Putfile didn't used to suck so much.

Wow, those videos on youtube look 100% better. The difference is shocking. Thanks for taking the time to register a youtube account. Please upload the rest when you get a chance.
81gen1, it sold to some guy who works at Boeing. You were too late to get this one.
