Another neato idea

I've had this brewing in my head for awhile now, ever since I looked over a parking lot, saw a first gen, and thought "looks like a big go-kart".

Anyway, I'm definitely doing this and thought I'd pass it along. I have one of those universal antennas that fits perfectly in the antenna hole on my 84 (go figure, it IS universal). It looks odd and gets thrown around alot, like the radio antennas on radio controlled cars.

Therefore, I'm going to have a little triangle flag made of something durable (like plastic tarp material). It will say something like "RX-7" or "RRD" (Redwood Racing Development ). Also, I think it will be red with white lettering. The antenna unscrews quite quickly so if I'm freeway driving a lot I can take it off. What do you guys think? Neat or never?

put a giant on/off switch in one of the rocker guard panels, and tint the windows soooooo dark you can't see inside, oh and don't forget the plastic dummy driver to put in it while you're parked...

Now, if I was making a car that I didn't want to be taken seriously, I'd do all that. Maybe this summer when I get another 1st gen (that's the plan thus far).

As it stands, orange flag w/ "RRD" on it and black windows. I'll also have to wear a helmet and my fireproof gloves all the time now.

i donot not know about where you are.. but in cali i think that it is illegal to wear a helmet on the street. they say that it restricts your vision to much, or something like that..

That would be bad-***. To add to it, as you crank it, push it a bit so the car starts to roll. Then run really fast and jump in like it is going to drive away. Continue to rev the engine constantly insisting that it will loose its crank (or something stupid like that) if you let the rpms drop. Hmmm, then toast some rice. Sounds like a good day.
