I installed a FC Oil cooler and replaced the Beehive on Pinoyremix's car this weekend.
I used existing bolt locations in the front using aluminum angle stock.
Fabbed up the lines using -10an Aeroquip fittings and SS hose.
Note: This is a AC equiped car not as easy as a normal car.

...word to the wise, if you are going to use a die grinder close to the radiator, place a shield inbetween your work area and the grinder or just remove it......one bump and I cut the radiator, needed to remove it any way and it cost $20 bucks to repair.

Tomorrow we finish the oil pedestal sandwich install and then start it up.....so no leak check yet.

 

Nicely done. Be sure to tie down the long line. Without they can eventually wear through.

Well the first leak check went bad, I put the FC oil pedestal on 180 degrees backwards..doesn't seal well when you do that....
Second leak check revealed a pinprick hole in the oil cooler.........20 minutes later with a 2nd FC oil cooler installed leak check'd good.
Not how I planned it but it works, Ron is happy and on his way home right now.

Everywhere it can rub there is protection. There also is a very tiny bit of slack in the long one.

Ron, if you can find a stock oil line holder, you can use it to keep the long line from rubbing. It bolts to the bottom leg of the front iron in the small threaded hole and extends out about 3 inches. Slammed could probably fab one out of that aluminum stock and top it off with a rubber wrap to lift the hose and keep it from rubbing anything. Maybe fab up some sort of clamp like stock.

Title is misleading. it should say, new bracket "idea" for using FC FMOC. Same process like the other but with a different bracket

so I did another leak check..and its pretty good...definately..seeing a change in the oil temps...and also coolant temps..running a lot cooler...

 

he can fab anything...my car is proof and he can also do many things he has never done before....

1. Cleaning and Installing a sidedraft and getting it to work the first start up includes fabrication of throttle linkage..
2. install a full gslse fuel setup
3. now a new brackets for placement for a fmoc that has a/c still in..

P.S. like he said earlier..don't forget to take the radiator out before using a cutting wheel..otherwise you will poke holes...radiator guy said i was lucky..it was an easy fix because it was a new radiator..about 10 months old..
