That's a very good idea. I'm going to have to get a new bearing pressed into a front stationary gear. Then it'll be good to go on a supercharger project.

So.... If I run a 14.1, can I say I ran 13s because it's close enough?

Its hard to see since its my camra phone, but thats my 14.891 time slip.
.808 rt
2.134 60ft
6.105 330ft
9.457@73mph 1/8th mi
12.3 1000ft
and 14.819@91.40mph
My best time ever was a 14.691@91.62mph
.602 rt
2.062 60ft
6.023 330ft
9.357@72.82 1/8th mi
12.241 1000ft
14.691@91.62mph
I'll try and get better pics.

My car is a 83 GSL w/ stock GSL-SE with 45dcoe, RB header, presilencer stock pipe to a dynomax muffler, and an msd. Thats all I had done at that time. Two days later I dynoed at 136rwhp. and last tome i dynoed it was 140 rwhp. right now i should be putting like 148 or so to the wheels and its still stock ported. only little things here and there...

That's about the best response anyone could have given to that comment.

From your original request, I run 2 magnaflows, a 4 inch round and a 5X7 oval can inline, and they are awesome!! I paid less than 100 for both stainless steel cans, they are decently quiet, straight through, and flow great. I literally gained 20 hp on my streetport engine converting to these mufflers. Had a muffler shop weld me up a setup to run. Great project, good luck.

I was hoping hed post this. He has damn near the exact same setup I do. the only difference is I am using a 48MM DCO weber and he is using a 45MM DCOE. He is using a GSL-SE Block and Im using a 86 block. And we are using different mufflers.

Yes project torque will get WAY better than 14s. I think 12s are completely possible

Looks like magnaflows are the way to go for the muffler.

What imthinking about doing for the exhaust now is a racing beat road race header to a the dual pipe/presilencer system to a magnaflow muffler.

You guys think this will flow enough?

Thanks for posting that slip too Hyper4mance. Although its as I expected (high 14's) its still 14's I'll give you that much :P: But your if you plan to use street tires my guess judging from my car is that you will have increase your traps from 91mph to around 109-110mph. I still dont think the setup you have in mind will yield this but only time will tell.

Good luck

Thanks. When I put the rims on my car, I saved two of my old GSL-SE stock wheels because I plan to put slicks on them.... NOT DRAG RADIALS. (just so u know LOL)

I'll have all kinds of different runs, and some of them will be with and without street tires. The mickey thompson slicks that fit on the GSL-SE wheels were like 2 hundred something if I remember right
