Altitude Compensator Removal Question

It's been ages since I tweaked any Nikki carbs so I've gotten forgetful.

I removed an alt compensator from a friend's Carb, JBWelded the three holes under it and plugged the vacuum source on the other side of the Carb. What I can't remember is the two little tubes just above the altitude compensator. Do I block those off too, or are those supposed to be vented to atmosphere to equalize pressure inside or something?

Jon

Yes, block them. They are on 84-85 carbs only.

Ok, so blocking them was the right thing to do. That means my Carb issue / vacuum leak lies elsewhere. Damn.

Thanks Jeff! You've got all my answers tonight!
