It looks good in the last pic! What color you got planned for it? More of the same? I am not one who is favor of V8 swaps, but I won't flame you for it either. Maybe some more specifics on the engine etc. Good luck (believe me, you'll need it! JK).

I also like it. I am totally fine with V8 swaps. It is no different than buying a CRX and throwing in a larger motor from anything else (from a different thread). I actually know a guy who is doing a 302 in his FB and I cant wait to get a ride in it!

I still have the love for rotaries too. A second gen turbo II is one of our shops upcoming projects. Thanks for the comments guys.

The engine came out of a 92 Z28. It is an L98 tuned port injection 350 chevy. It's mated to a borg warner T5 manual tranny. The chassis is a 79 SA. The rear and and front suspension is from an 85 GSL-SE. As far as color, I haven't decided yet. I like the original color but I was also looking at an electron blue pearl. The shop I work at also has a full body and paint set up so the paint will be coming soon.

Quick Q, will the SE rear end be able handle the additional HP/Torque?

Actually I did alot of research. SE rear end had one of the strongest stock LSDs of it's time. It's rated to take over 500 (hp or tq?). There are 10 second V8 SEs running on stock rear ends. That is why I chose to stick with the SE rear end as apposed to cutting another one to fit.

The engine is actually a TPI 350 (5.7) out of a Z28. In 92 the TPI 305 (5.0) came in the Iroc trim.

This car will almost be a straight drag when I am done with it. I plan on making the turbo 2 FC handle the curves.

I like it too, although the fender flares are too wide and blocky for my taste. I realize you need them to get those horsies to the ground, however.

Your swap beats the hell out of the V8 swaps with the aircleaner sticking out of a round hole in the hood. There's just no excusing hack jobs like those. Nice work.

I have the CP Racing wide body kit, that I am in the process of putting on. It looks identical to yours. Could you post more pics of the car from different angles? In particular, 3/4 views from the front and back, a side view and a rear view.

How is the ground clearance in the front? Is the car lowered or not? And finally, what size tires and rims are you running, including offset.

Thanks, Scott.

Sticking with the chevy 350, smart man. I'm not too fond of ford's engines, they always seem to be lagging behind in history. I like it, like the color too. Nice clean job, you deserve a cookiee.

You forgot the best part, $1800 per set lol kinda out of my price range but damn do they look sweet. And 12 inches of rubber in the back? Damn you must get some serious traction.

don't, its not worth it. Your car is awesome the way it is, its not worth, burning rubber/money at the same time. In my opinion maintain its current condition and don't waste rubber on a burnout.
