All warning lights are on..help

Hi all
few days ago I got 83 GSL. I put a new battery and a new Alternator.
Yesterday I was driving and the all my warning lights are on except the safty belt, like a cristmas tree!!
The car starts and run fine so far, checked groun connection but found nothing wrong.
If I disconnect the "T" connector to my Alt, the lights are off.

thanks for any help

was it a brand new alternator? if all lights are on then you either broke the belt or the alternator is bad..

The belt is fine, but now she just died on me when i was driving to the repair shop, the battery is just empty, trying to start the car, no lights, can close windows ..nothing. I jump start the car and it just died again.
To mee it looks like a bad alternator...

Your alternator isn't working... be thankful you don't have an SA. When I broke a belt on my old '79, all the warning lights came on and the tachometer wound around to 5k rpm (voltmeter). Damn near shat myself

5krpm: thats cause mazda used the tach as a voltmeter when the motor wasnt spinning very fast..

what a stupid system.. just PUT a voltmeter on the dash, mazda!
they made such a good choice to place the tach right in the middle, and then put it BACK in the middle for the FC's and FE's, i dunno about an FD but i would assume so.

same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. I saw everything go red, the tach go to 5k (when i was actually at like 1k), and then a big lump in my throat started to form. "damn piece of crap- i hate you!" i thought to myself. But how could you stay mad at an SA? it's the best
