Alas, Radio Shack has no more antennas

Just called the Radio Shack 800 number to get a couple more Power Antennas, all three cars need them, and they are GONE! They were just about a perfect replacement, and $20, and I'm down to 2 spares. In march they had 126 remaining.

I think they can be found elsewhere, though, as they seem to be pretty standard configuration.

Have you checked places like pep boys or NAPA? Chances are that antenna is probably packaged and resold by a few different places.

Or you could just ditch the eletric and go for small rubber one

I ran into the same problem here in Atlanta a few weeks ago. I called around everywhere and iritated a bunch of radio shack people, but alas, it seems to be true, they are all gone. I saw a similar one for $30 at either AutoZone or Advanced Auto, hope it fits and works as nicely. If anyone finds the same part being sold by someone else please let us know!

I picked one up at Canadian Tire here in Canada last summer.

I don't know if they are still available, but it won't take much to check.

I'll look into it and post the results.

Anthrax, thanks for the Candian Auto reference, their antenna looks a lot like the radio shack one and just like the one I have seen in the local discount auto stores for $30 american. I'll bet it's the current version of the radio shack one. Blitz, the radio shack cat number was 12-1330 but I pressed radio shack pretty hard a few weeks ago and they assured me they were all gone. The last one I could find was in Mobile Alabama, but before I could get them to ship it to the local radio shack here in Atlanta they sold it to someone in Florida. But if you can find some please let us know!

I was looking for a hidden antenna on ebay last night and find a couple of those radio shack antennae for I think a couple of bucks apiece. Some guy in NY had bought a lot of their clearance stuff.
