alarm systems

ya i know this isn't the proper forum to post, but its more active than the others, so...

i am going to need an alarm for my new gsl-se.

im trying to keep the whole system alpine, and wouldn't mind doing the same with the alarm

the car has keyless entry, so it wil have to support that

i would really like features such as motion sensor, and pager.

thanks guys, you're always alot of help

I think he is looking for people's recomendations.

I too am looking for an alarm. Does anyone have experience with the two way remotes that display the status of the car? Any recomendations on brand or models and remote range?

i used to install 2 ways all day long. Crime stoppers is ok for the money. Audiovox has nice features that you dont need. Viper is very out there so parts are easier to come by. Alpine has some issues and poor tech support. go on ebay and buy a generic one, they are just as good as any.

crimestoppers used to make a model that would start your car from about 2 miles away. it is now only availbe in canada and mexico cuz of the fcc. if you plan on doing a remote start as well buy an all in one unit... it will save lots of time and space. a security system has no limits, you can put a trigger on every door, but why? make so it goes off when any of all doors open. motion sensors get to be a pain espically during fall.

I got mine from Crutchfield. There top of the line model. Took about 4 hours to install. Th ehardest aprt is finding the wires. They provide a wiring chart that helps allot.
