ajustable rear lower controll arms?

so i made some ajustable lower controll arms for the rear of my car. I came up with the idea because when i had lowered my car i started geting a vibration when i would get to about 65 mph.i checked my pinion angle and it was slightly off, about 4 degrees so i wanted to try this out. i just intalled them today so well see how they work . heres some pics. what do you guys think

Looks awesome, admittedly if I was going to do the work to fix the rear end it would be an adjustable tri-link/panhard.

yeah made it myself. I used the stock arms and some grade 8 bolts and nuts I machined to fit.really only cost me about 15 dollars total and some time.
heres some pics of the machining i did.

hmm that's a simpler way to do it than rod ends!

I didn't do rod ends because I didn't want them to transfer the noise and vibration to the chassis. Plus it's a street car

On the threaded portion I used a 5/8-16 bolt and machined the head down to .700 then pressed it in and had it tig welded

oh ok, it didnt see the tig welds on the finished product. i was thinking press fit was a little ballsy haha. good idea, glad to see someone modifying stock parts. lets us know if it fixes your driveshaft issue.

Great work. Keep us posted on how they work out. This is an awesome alternative to rod ends for street cars.

I will pay you a visit one of these days. I'm still doing research on where to install the double link in my RX-3s; below the leaf-springs or on the axle housing.

Good work. I suggest using grade5 hardware for future welding projects though. Grade8 gets brittle when welded and usually ends up being weaker than grade5

So I got a chance to work on the pinion angle and I was off like 3 degrees. So I adjusted the arms then drove it around and now its all good. So far I'm happy with the results after some spirited driving.

Im glad to see this come up. Iv recently lowered my car drastically when I some skinnier tires, and for the past few weeks i really want to get the adjustable rear control arms from re-speed but i dont know how to measure the rear pinion angle and or get better angle. I have all four corners on re-speed coil-overs and im getting to the last threads
Any advice will be greatly appreciated

heck why stop there do the other end as well, and with jam nuts could make adjustment without pulling them out .... just saying

i used a harbor freight angle finder (like 5$) for adgusting the pinion angle.
step 1: lift the car up with all the suspension compressed with jack stands.
step 2: remove the drive shaft (make sure you put a drip pan for the tanny fluid).
step 3: place angle finder on the face of the tail on the trans and take your reading (mine was -2.5).
step 4: place angle finder on the face of the pinion (where the driveshaft bolts up to) take a reading (mine was -1.5)
step 5: i adgusted my arms to give me +2.0 degrees
step 6: try it out.

Yeah i thought about that too. It would be very easy to do too.
you could use the stock arms,a threaded tubes, and 5/8-16 right hand and left hand thread bolts. not sure where to get left hand thread bolts and jam nuts tho.

heres a link to the threaded tube i thought of using
