airdam or bra: most totally 80's to you?

with all the airdam topics floating around I started to think about airdams vs bras. and what would be most representative from cars of our vintage.

I had once wanted to take my 7 and try to make it modern, but now I think that keeping it true to the eighties may be more interesting.

Here is a list of things that I am thinking of for my car in the 80's theme.

Tape Deck: I hope to find a much better than average tape deck from the 80's I know that car audio had been around forever, but when I asked around the interior/audio part of the forum nobody knew of classic hardware. I would like to find a Nakamichi td-1200. But this may be near impossible.

Louvers: As the 60's had tail fins the 80's had louvers.

the cardboard "sunshade" with the sunglasses printed on it.

two tone paint.

Targa: its been growing on me. but the last thing I am worried about.

any other ideas or memories?

Ah the memories....I am not called "80's old school for nothing"...

Louvers....all my cars had louvers in the 80's
Bra....yes!! Why not bra and air dam!!
Enkei wheels or ones like my "Shelby" wheels on my 80.
Window tint with "eyebrow" on top of windshield.
Yes...two tone paint even though I hate it.

Now the Nak 1200 is BA. I remember installing one back in the 80's when I was an audio installer. Seems like it was the one that would remove the tape and turn over (for it's auto-reverse" to keep the tape azimuth perfect...

Now the Nak might be hard to find....but a non-din installed Pioneer Supertuner with some kind of an eq-booster with some Pioneer co-ax speakers would do the 80's trick!!!

Aftermarket popup sunroof if definitely 80's.
Absolutely NO low profile tires or anything to modernize the cars!!!!

They need to be left "period correct".....that is my favorite!

louvers on the rear hatch

rims painted to match the car's color

a fake curly cell phone antennae

"arrived stoned" front license plate.

"kma 357" license plate holder (meant you were a law officer)

Oh how can I forget....raised white letter tires!!!

Also gotta cruise with your Jordache jeans....izod shirt....members only jacket and rayban wayfarer or aviator sunglasses.....all the while listening to men at work, journey, or dead or alive on your tapedeck.

Oh speaking of tapedeck.....you have to have that tape case that holds your 400+ cassette tapes!!!!

Your hair is combed with huge wings.... and your girlfriend is bitching because her "big hair" is hitting the roof!!!......you are bitching because she is spraying her hairspray in your car!!!

Cragar SS "mag" rims (or look-alikes)
Bra - -air dams were rarities in the 80's, bras were EVERYwhere
8-track player add-on (persisted into early 80's)
sheepskin seat covers
louvers, for sure
thick squishy lace-on steering wheel cover
Stuff hanging from the rear-view mirror
cup holder that hooks on the window frame
cheesy stick-on compass and thermometer
stuffed "garfield" with suction cup paws in the window, (toward the end of the era).

cell phone antennas were a later thing; 90's

I have 15" wheels, but they were made in 84. so Im willing to let that slide since it is vintage to the time. I remember the ladybug floor mats in the jcwhitney. that and the VW bodykit that was styled after a RollsRoyce.

Thats right those sheep skins are from the late eighties. Gift from the wife one year because my seats started to disintegrate.

Sorry there weren't double wipers in the 80s that I recall. Those are a ricer thing from the 90s I think.

I have all those and others including "fine young cannibals" in my "period correct" playlist that gets played whenever the 7 is driven through the premium sound system (using a tape adapter of course)
