air pump question

ok, so this years SRX7 rules allow for removal of the cat (finally). my question....

the hose that puts air into the cat will now be serving no purpose. will it hurt to just leave it filtering into the atmosphere, or should it be blocked off (either at the hose itself or the ACV)? and the pump will still be providing for the thermal reactor.

Cat removal is in the realm of the emissions removal tutorial. Just skim through it and read the relevant parts regarding the cats.
