Is it one of those LED gauges that takes a signal from the O2 sensor? If it is it will work.

It will work fine,it you want to use it for reference only.
If it is tuning that you have in mind,i would suggest going for a whideband one, made by a reputable company, like Haltech or so.

I had the Autometer Phantom series A/F guage in my car...like the guys said, good for reference. You really do have to go wideband uego if you want to use it o tune. Also, you'll notice that when its hooked up it will bounce around constantly. Just my 2 revs.

The ones that autometer and the other non wideband manufacturers make ,arent a good way to determine the afr range. The O2 sensors are narrow band, and they are not able to accurately measure from lean to rich. Allot of them allso dont have internal heaters which will make them read even more unaccurate.Normally they can only measure around the 14.4 to 1 range, and not from 10 to 1 right up to 20 to 1. ( 20 part oxygen for each part fuel)

Ive got an autometer A/F guage in my SE. It was real easy to install (in place of the clock) and it looks pretty trippy at night. The only thing I use it for is when im trying to get a good backfire to get someone off my *** (downshift so it goes rich 2-3 green bars then off the gas and POP!)

Oh, and when it stops bouncing you get bad gas milage (this happens around 80 MPH)

thats interesting, whenver i downshift and let it coast in higher rpms, it goes all the way lean then i get a huge flame out my tailpipe that sounds like a 9mm pistol

Are there any kits for Air/Fuel or Oxygen sensors? I have neither, so I need the guage, the sensor, the wiring, etc.

LongDuck,

I beleive MaxRX7's site had a little write-up on how to install the gauge on a stock, fuel injected SE. He got the signal from the CPU too.

12a AFR

Has anyone ever installed 2 AFR gauges with 2 wideband sensors to tune each rotor? Just wondering. I was thinking about doing this when I get my Sterling, and getting another RB header and welding 2 O2 bungs in it. Just a thought. Ultimate tuning ability if I'm thinking correctly. What do you guys think?

uhh you cant tune the fuel seperatly going into each rotor, good idea (i guess), but it wouldnt work

what if you have a dual carb set up, or do the ports connect together in the intake or something, I dont know much about induction on these things

Hell yes you can tune one rotor! Its actually a good idea for the guys running carbs!

Important point :If you want a rough idea, then non-wideband would be fine.(Autometer etc)
If your going to use it for serious tuning ,then only a wideband will do!
