aftermarket tachs

aftermarket tachs

so i want to get one but will they work. i mean they have the wires to cut for a 4,6, and 8 cylinder engine(but no rotory obviously) but will they work and if so what wire(s) would u cut or what adapters are needed

the Haynes manual is pretty detailed when it comes to the tachometer and I'm pretty sure that most of the newer tach replacements come with instructions? I could be wrong about that, but definitely get the Haynes manual at the very least.

set it to 4...then the wire: red to (+), black (-), yellow (ignition) and green (tach). I could be wrong on the colors of the two last wires (yellow and gree). so please check the diagram prior to installation. Tach wire can be connected in leading or trailing.
