Exclamation AFTERMARKET STERO INSTALLATION FOR 1st gen

Hi everyone my name is Marcello and well im a newbie........Ok now i need someone's help with this DAMN problem of mine....i want to install an aftermarket stereo in my 82' rx-7 but i am having trouble removing the center console plastic face. This problem is being caused by the A/C button that turns on and off the A/C (the button that's black and has the PUSH IN style button in the middle to turn on the actual compressor) Anyways...i have already removed all the screws on the actual plastic face but i dont know how to remove the A/C button because that the last thing holding the console face down......I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THIS A/C BUTTON...does it unscrew or do you pull it off?......i dont want to break my baby so can someone please help me with this problem of mine....also how hard is it to install the actual radio into the RX...do i need a wiring harness for the car or what? Any info on this will help me thanks...........

Could you get me a pic maybe? I'm confused on what this button is. . . .

I don't remember having to take a button off mine.

But, please, do be careful, it's hard to find a center bezel (word?) unmolested

the a/c button on my 82 rx7 just pops off when i installed my aftermarket stereo.....try and be gentle and pull it off....i think it should just pop off but its not screwed on or anything.....it might be glued or attached with adhesive so just play with it a little bit and it should just pop right off...then the rest of the console removal is a breeze
