You can't!!! They run to amps in the rear hatches. You have to run all new wires to all the speakers.

ive never looked at an rx7's radio wiring, but ive installed cd players in a couple cars, and im pretty sure that you just hook it up without worrying about the two harnesses for the amps. the cd player you are installing has its own amp and will work when you wire the harness into the cd player.

All the wires from the radio go to the amps, then to the speakers. As stated earlier the unit you are using has a built in amp, then that powered signal goes to the amps in the back. You cannot amplify an amplified signal. No worky that way. You will have to run new wires. It should take you a total of an hour or so to do this, since you do not have to go into the doors. While you are there you should put new speakers in, since you will have to splice into the adaptors forthe factory speakers. Remember these speakers are 20 years old now. Time for retirement.

Yeah. You will only be using the gound, switched power and constant power for your radio. Then just send out 4 pairs of 16 gauges speaker wire, 2 front and 2 rear.

Will this harness work with a '80? How much was it at circuit city? Thanks, and I know that this is an old thread.

You wouldn't want to use stock amps anyway, even if it would work...

So... Circuit City stocks a Mazda universal harness that works in the GSLSE? Sweet! How much was it?

If you really wanna get at the wiring for the stock speakers, remove the storage bins... Under them, there'll be two boxes about the size of a medium sized book... They'll be labeled "Clarion" They're the stock 25 watt amplifiers. They have several connectors. A round one. A single wire, and a 4 wire plug. One has a blue 4 wire plug. That's for the rears.

Disconnect the single wire from each. That's the power for em. They don't need to be on.

Just extend those wires up to your head unit and use the speaker wiring and speakers you have if you want.
