Advancing holley four barrel
I am gonna assume this is the holley 465 with vac secondaries. Give the list number to any speed shop and you can get a secondary spring assortment for about $20..Go by trial and error, once you get a bog you know you went toooo light. Another suggestion, put a paperclip in the rod, take it for a couple various runs and after each time you will see the clip move so you'll get an idea when and how much it has opened. My ideal solution to any vac sec carb owner who always wonders "if" the secondaries are opened all the way "yet" is to install a WOT switch on the secondaries and send the signal to a light on your dash, pillar, etc and then you'll always "know" for sure.
Care to explain how one might go about setting up that wot switch? I have a 465 and have wondered what it's doing from time to time.
Also, where would that paper clip go? what rod?

Yep, it's a vac secondary. A friend of mine said you can buy a replacement cap for the vac sec with a little adjuster that you can just turn right on top of the vac and it changes how soon the four barrel opens up. Mine opens up at about 4700 to 4800 and I was wanting it closer to 4000.
Just change the spring.
