I ordered the 4*100 adapters and got them last week. They are pretty beefy items. I have no worries about them ever failing. They are thicker in all part than the stock rim is where the lug nut sits.

I got the 1.25" thick adapters
And I am using some old 17*7 rims with a +35 offset
With these rims and 205/40/17 tires the outside of the tire is about dead even with the fender lip in the front, and a little under it in the back (The front wheels are on a wider track then the back). A 7" rim with +40 to +45 would work better. I plan on getting some 16" rims with a +40mm offset really soon.
