Acv delete question

Hey fellas, been searching around on here to find an answer but nobody has done the same thing from what I can find. Most people completely remove the rats nest with the acv and pump. so I'm currently in the process of removing my air pump and ACV. I have no cats on my car so those 2 pieces of equipment are useless to me. What I want to do differently is I want to keep the rats nest in place. I still have the nikki and I want to keep all of its functionality. My car is pretty much all original. Can I just delete the ACV and airpump and leave the rats nest be with all of its solenoids and vac lines? For reference the car is an 82 GS with an all oem 12A. Thanks

That’s what I did, I wanted to retain cruise control and A/C idle. I just made block off plates out of 3/16 aluminum plate. I put silicone sealant to seal them up and the ratsnest stuff still works.

hey Ckforker, thanks for the response. After posting this I went and did exactly what you did. Made a blockoff plate for the acv from 1/4" steel. Overkill for the application, but works well. Air pump came off too. The car seems to run very well, idle also improved. Did you also leave your #2 afterburn valve in place as well?
