Any problem with leaving the ACV on?

Other than being ugly, are their any other issues that can be caused by leaving the ACV on the motor? I pulled the "nest" and left the ACV where it is.

Can it cause a loss of hp or poor idle?

Not if there arent any hoses going to it.
The ACV routes the air from the smog pump to various places.Much of the rats nest is solenoids and hoses that control the ACV.If everything is capped off, there is no harm in leaving it,although it would have no function without the rats nest, even if you left the airpump and catylist intact.

Cool. I've had a slightly stronger misfire at idle since removing the rat's nest and I was concerned that the ACV might be the culprit.

The car ran fine before the rat's nest removal.
