right none of the a/c parts in my car are hooked up or working, but they are just sitting in the car as dead weight. What parts should i take out and where are they if i want to get rid of them?
In front of radiator is your cooler i would take taht out, your pump out, all your hoses in the engine bay is possible(watch for freon). Also passenger side interrior there is alot of things wich could also be removed i believe. There is also a condensor canister thing in front of radiator i removed as well

Yup, I've removed everything except the core inside the car under the passenger side dash. Haven't had time to take it out yet. Even removed the idle compensator for when the A/C is on along with the associated piece on the rats nest....of course I've removed the whole rats nest too now. Don't forget to take off the bracket that holds the A/C compressor to the side of the engine. That thing must weigh around 13-15 lbs by itself!
I removed the evaporator, too. To do this, I used the evaporator box as a template and made a fiberglass duct to replace it. (I searched for a non-AC car to get the part, but couldn't find one.) To plug the holes in the dash panel, I searched around a junkyard and found plugs that would close them up.

Remove it all. Everything that is part of the A/C system can go:
Compressor & bracket, condenser (in front of the radiator), evaporator (if you do what I suggested, otherwise you can remove the guts & leave it installed), lines, receiver/dryer canister, all the lines. These are the basic parts of an A/C system, on any car. Remove all of them.

yea, its a hour job for the underhood stuff, then another hour or two for the evaporator (if you choose to remove it, its not that heavy so it isn't super important) I was lucky enough to find a non A/C duct to replace my evaporator.
so i finished guting out the condenser from the plastic housing and then replaced it but now there no air coming from my vents... i thought there was a leak in the connections from the van to the housing and housing to the duct system but there is none. spent over half the day trying to figure it out... im stuck

A/C will be the first thing to go in my car. (I'll have a spare compressor for the truck now.
)
I plan on removing the evaporator. No sense in having it there...
So I'll need to change out ducts? Can anyone post pics of the A/C duct? I don't have the car with me at the moment... I wanna see what I have to work with and what I need to make it look like.
I plan on using the A/C switch as a manual on button for an electric fan.
