I just recently bought my 1984 GSL-SE...yay! But I'm having a few problems. My biggest concern is that it chooses to charge sometimes and not other times. It usually charges for the first 10 mins in the morning when its cold and intermittently throughout the day. My fuseable link isn't it cuz all the connections are good. Thas what my last RX7's problem was. I dont think its my alternator cuz when it does charge its right at 14 volts. Someone said it could be my ignition switch. Is this true or what do you think??? Any help would be great. Please PM me.

i had some problem like that too the other day i brought it in to checkers they checked my alternator and it tested fine but when i reconnected my alternator it might have been a loose connection cuz now mine works fine...better to take apart and have them test it and connections...

 

are all your waring and check lights coming on when the alt stops charging? you might wana look at the check and choke relay on the drives side fender behind the strut tower(thats where mine is)
