Aarrrggg....

so i found out this morning that my dad tried to change the battery in my rx7 and reversed the terminals...... the car didnt start so i rewired the fuseable link and it started right up, but now my cd player doesnt work, the gas cap cover doesnt open, and the back hatch doesnt open. Is the wiring harness fried?? its all right if the cd player is fried, it barely worked as it is, and i was planning in getting new one anyways.

Check the fuses first. I had that happen on a sunbird I had a couple of years ago. Every fuse under the dash was blown.

I would try swaping out for some new ones. That is amazing. If the fuses didnt blow then it could have damanged the relays.

The other fusible links should be mounted on the strut tower along with the one you already replaced (if I'm reading this right). As for the accessories not working afterward, I'd be amazed if you actually damaged the wiring before the fuse blew. I'd check the fused again, just to be sure of this...

im still saying its the fusible link. you can buy regular fuses at autoparts stores to replace the fusible links. its recommended. id go ahead and buy those now and ditch all the fusible links.

^ Thats for the headlamp operation. The opener fuse for the hatch/gas cap access is a 20amp fuse. There is no separate fusable link for that system.
