1 down more to come! she started up for me once then halfway again.. the first time she started she ran for like 5 seconds realy realy low ideal just sputtering and I had the choke all the way open then she died... the second time I heared a few pops then she died again... anyone got an idea? she has new plugs, wires, dist, distributer cap, new fuel filter, new transplant fuel pump from a 1983 rx7, the fuel system is working great after I rewired it but it doesnt seem to wanna run... its not to cold out here 45 degrees maybe, not gonna get any colder... any input would be much appreciated!

Thx in advanced

Check your ignition timing. I've had those symptoms, and checking the timing fixed it.

perhaps you may need to let it run without the choke, with your foot resting on the gas pedal. usually rotaries with a carb will not hold idle right away when they are cold.

I think I mite have a problem... my car is a 1985 rx7 GS not the fancy GSL-SE and all the guides I can find are for a GSL-SE. anyone have any clue how to ajust the timeing on a 85 GS 12a carburated motor. My car was running fine untill the other day when it started loseing power. I investigated and found out the carb wasnt gettin ne gas now I fixed that and it still wont run for more then 5 seconds.

well... why would you need a new pump? Gas sitting to long?

That screams to me your carb is in need of a rebuild....

poor some gas down the carb (just a little) and crank on it... should start, and you can rev it a lil before it die's.... if that works.... look into the carb being crappy....
