93 rx-7 13b short block into 84 gsl-se

i have a chance to purchase a short block out of a 93 rx-7 to use as a replacement for my 13b in my 84 gsl-se. the replacement is mildly ported with 10000 miles on it. the engine is the 13b rew.
other than the front cover what would it take to make it work for my app?
also i assume that this short block was once a turbo engine so will it work for me in a non turbo setup? i will still be runing the efi system. i also have a mercedes supercharger to install and a haltech e6x both sitting in boxes here to help with any installation snags.
if its not a good idea to use this engine please let me know so i don't end up with something that is not good.
thanks
joe

this engine is a low comp engine , it will be best used with a turbo , alos you need a different oil pan probably use your se one and the intake manifold is different unless you have the 93 one. engine managment also will need so upgrading.

I used a 13B-T engine from an '87 RX7 minus the turbo in an RX3 once. Although it's low compression it doesn't bother it at all, gives it a nice deep sound

If you're gonna use the MB supercharger, it could be a nice setup. In that case, the '93 short block would be ideal. Which vehicle is the supercharger off of? Is it an Eaton? (The other option is a Lysholm style, which is nicer, but much rarer and more expensive)

Either way, the SC should be near bulletproof.

the supercharger is the eaton m62 off of a 97 mercedes slk 230 engine.
it has a shorter configuration which i think will make it fit better.

I know the unit well. The SLK 230 is a farm implement of an engine. When they got wise and switched the first two digits, the car improved immensely. I had a friend that drove one and -- no joke -- he thought it was a diesel. I guess that says as much about its poor refinement as it does about its good bottom end torque.

Since you have the parts already, I think you should make this a project and give us all a nice saga to follow .
