86' oil cooler in an 85' with a 12A?

I've heard all sorts of bad things about the 12A stock oil cooler.
I have an '86 oil cooler on the shelf and was wondering if I could fab up
some mounts and run lines to replace the stock oil cooler.

I can't think of any real problems, but that's why I'm asking here.
Are there any potential problems with doing this conversion?

I can weld and have some experience with making my own brackets.
It's my guess that this won't just fit under the radiator like they do on the SE's.

Come to think of it....I have an -SE oil cooler in my Midget right now.
Maybe I should swap them? It should be easier installing the SE oil cooler
in an '85, duh.

Has anyone written up a procedure for this already?

Thank you very much!
No matter what I think about doing,
someone else has already done it.
