'85 SE wheel bolt pattern and offset?

I am looking to get some new shoes for my '85 GSL SE. I am looking at these new Konigs that are very similar to the Panasports.

http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_p...ID=1&ss_id=430

Does anybody know what the bolt pattern and offset is? I think it is 4x114 with a 40mm offset, but I'm not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Awesome!

Do you know if the offset is 40mm?

38-40mm offset is correct.

I have seen up to a 45mm offset. So a 43 should work. But I do not know how tucked in the wheel will be since it is 7.5".

Do you mean the amount of room left in the wheel well near the suspension?

Actually, I think he means the opposite...don't know how far it will stick out past the wheel opening. I'm researching wheels and tires right now for my project car, and it seems that most people are using 7" wheels, unless they are using a body kit. I think I'm going to go with 16x7 wheels with 40 - 45mm offset and 205/50-16 tires.

Yeah, 64 is right. I am pretty sure that I saw a car with a 45mm offset and a 8" rim. It fit pretty nice inside the wheel well.

Then the 7.5 and +43mm offset should work, right?

I don't know. Let me see if I can find the thread that had the information.

Here is what he said:

"in the back I am running a 17x8 with a 45mm offset (I think they might be 40) and a 245/40/17, the tires rub on the lip of the wheel well a little bit on hard compression but that is it."

Hope this helps...

Currently running 16x7 Rota wheels with a 38mm offset. I went by a wheel shop and test fit a 17x7 wheel with a 42mm offset and everything fit good. I will be upgrading to the 17's once I paint my car. Hope this helps.

Was at the wheel shop today looking for a set of 17s to go on my Dad's Gsl-Se ... I found 17s in 17x7 , 17x8 , and 17x9 ... the 7 inch had a 40 offset , and the other 2 had a 35 offset ... I'm leaning toward the 8 inch all the way around , but will it fit without rubbing since the car hasn't been lowered ?? Also , to my knowledge the higher offset is designed for FWD cars , is this true ?? Thanks for any / all your help guys , I'm getting these for BELOW cost so I don't want to wait to buy them , thanks again ...

Did it appear that there was enough room for another 1/2 inch of rim?

The car wasn't at the shop , so I had no real reference point , and I did read their posts too , but their offset is different than what I'm looking at , and I understand that offsets vary greatly in appearance ... there is a 3 to 7mm discrepancy in size so I just wanted to be sure before I got them ... I'm getting a true "Hook-up" and once I mount the tires (if they don't fit) I can't take them back ... thanks all

NO............
It was a very tight fit, only a piece of cardboard could fit between the lower spring perch and tire. The owner will include a 3mm spacer because I was uncertain that once the tire heats and expands that there may be some rubbing. According to his charts and specs on wheel offsets, the SE should run a 35mm offset up to a 40 mm offset. We can get away with the 42mm and by adding the 3mm spacer it drops it back down to 39mm offset. Hope this helps.....

how low offset can you fit with a 15x7 wheel without flares? the ones im looking at i can only find with a low offset, closer to 0 than 40.

30 offset w/ stock suspension will make the wheels almost flush w/ the fenders, 35+ will not look good at all, they will have that ghey sunken in look. I currently have 20 offset wheels, but run some good neg camber.
