85 RX7 GSL suggestions on upgrades
I'm new to actually working on cars, in fact this is my first car and i got it so i could learn about working on cars. I'm not to sure what all i can do to this car that will increase performance. I want to start with some cheap projects that can make the car run better and faster. Can you get a cold air intake for a rotary? Also feel free to give me some ideas to upgrade.

use keywords "cheap upgrades" under the search tab
just to list a couple
DLDFIS or 2GCDFIS or 2GCDFIS + TT (you can search all of them, i'm running the 2GCDFIS and that itself it's a lot better than the stock ignition)
remove rats nest (emissions, don't do it if you need them where you live :P)
yoohoo belt or an e-fan
or simply running a can of seafoam will do wonders =D
that should get you started on some reading to do plenty of threads about them.

I'd suggest these first
#1. Regularly check and maintain the correct tire pressure (most ignored for sure)
#2. Inspect and make sure you have good brakes , if not, repair these first
#3. Regular tune up on the Stock engine to make sure its running at its peak performance
#4. Upgraded suspension / shocks will make the HP you have a lot more fun
#5. Steering and front end components replaced if old and loose
