85 gsl-se
I just got my 85 mazda rx7 gsl-se the motor doesn't run the body is in great shape i just can't figure out why it won't run. The engine rotates though. I need some help. The carburetor works right. I just can't seem to figure it out. The car has no modifications in it. And hasn't ran in years

the GSL-SE isn't carbed, so first you'd need to be a little more specific about the car.
and you CANNOT have all three of those with an undisturbed car and it not run. check again.... those 3 basics are all an engine needs. verify the plug wires are in the correct order first, but it would still pop, fart, hiccup or do something.
second i would spray starting fluid in the engine to see if you in fact have proper ignition, pointing to a lack of fuel somewhere somehow.
then i would change the spark plugs, regardless if you think they are firing fine.
lastly, do a real compression test with a gauge, not by ear. if it is less than 80psi evenly with a minimum 200RPM cranking speed, you have a serious problem on your hands.
