84 power steering woes

Unhappy 84 power steering woes

Any good shop to help in Orange County or Inland Impire. I'm on a 3rd rebuilt pump in less than 200 miles.
What am I doing wrong? I really need help. A good Mazda man PLEASE!! Jim

yeah you in kinda a pickel They dont sell them anymore, and if you found a new one they were like $1000

i recently did a writeup on how to fix this here is a summarized version:

1) cut the belt
2) remove the pump
3) remove all tubing relating to the pump
4) loop the fluid line on the box using the stock connectors
5) throw the pump at pesky rodents snooping around at night
-OR-
5b) throw the pump at pesky ricers snooping around at night.

Seriosly, so far as i know there is no fix for it. I didnt even bother with it, as i have heard people dunking thousands of dollars into it trying to get it to work to no avail.

Good luck! (i seriously did remove mine tho)

my 83 has no power steering, and i love it Go without it man, better for ya
