i recently did a writeup on how to fix this here is a summarized version:

1) cut the belt
2) remove the pump
3) remove all tubing relating to the pump
4) loop the fluid line on the box using the stock connectors
5) throw the pump at pesky rodents snooping around at night
-OR-
5b) throw the pump at pesky ricers snooping around at night.

Seriosly, so far as i know there is no fix for it. I didnt even bother with it, as i have heard people dunking thousands of dollars into it trying to get it to work to no avail.

Good luck! (i seriously did remove mine tho)
