you work at an auto parts store so you should be able to load test your battery and also test your alt right? You need to start there first.

Battery was good, but we don't have an alternator tester...I will see tommorrow if it's the case.

Usually your local autostore will test your alternator on a machine they have. Works pretty good. Take the alt off and walk it in.

This will have to wait till Thursday, 11 hour day tommorrow at school :/. Wonderful. But it's so weird...volt meter sits at 10v or lower, then jumps to 'normal' voltage, then slowly goes back down. I'm just too frustrated this week to think.

you say you cleaned everything. Did you wirebrush inside the battery cable clamps? Wirebrush the battery terminals?

replace your battery cables too. They are crappy aluminum cables and if you replace them and strip the insulation back, I'll bet you find they are totally corroded. Mine looked fine on the outside but when I replaced them and cut the insulation back --> green everywhere! When I hooked it back up it idled smoother than it did before and started stronger too.

Cables were good; i tested with an autozone test thing in store, said it was fine.

Snap-on tester at a shop i was hanging at/cleaning today said it was bad.

New one on tommorrow.
