84 gsl rear brake caliper problem
Ok...i have an 84 gsl and i am replacing brake pads on my rear drivers side. The problem is, i cant get the pad in that is behind the rotor. The piston seems frozen. Correct me if im wrong, you have to push in the piston to get in that pad, right? Well...my piston will not go more than a centimeter either way.
ANY IDEAS?!?!?!
ANY IDEAS?!?!?!
try undoing the bleeder valve before you push it back in bren, it should go in real easy after that, but keep in mind your gonna get some air in the end of the line that way so when you're done make sure to bleed it again
edit: jump on msn too, i need to talk to you

nevermind i think i know why, its because of the way the ebrake is hooked up, you probably need the special tool to "screw" it back in, is that the way these brakes work, i don't have experience with the rears one these cars, but i know lots of cars are like that,
yup thats it
basically the parking brake turns the piston, when the piston is turned its pushed out, so you have to push in the piston and turn it at the same time to get it to go back in. jump on msn and ill explain better.

we have the tool at work, ill pick it up if you need it, or you are going to have to try and spin it with some pliers or something, careful not to damage it though.
