Just brought home my first RX7...
I have some questions....... not being an rx7 person.....
My drive home was about 500 miles.....the car runs....shifts smooth.....cruise works great........the problems

It has problems when steering left or right ...feels like its stiff....
it also has a bang when going sharp left? sound almost comes form underneath me....

The breaks are also very stiff and stopping is tough.....

I have too give plenty of space.......

My last problem.........its not very quick from the start..... once it getts going its ok.... it also has a groan that comes on between 76-80 mph.... goes away at higher speeds........

The car got 27 mpg......I was impressed....... 2nd reading was 26 mpg.......avg speed was 85...

There are two gauges to the left...one is electrical runs on the high side...when you put lights on it drops.....what is the other above it? It is at the middle when car is idling and goes up when
you drive......I have not read up on this car yet...

I am having my old Volvo guy do a pre-smog check monday and then I will get my smog........California thing........and I hope it will pass...

I was then going to a alignment shop...I have seen a couple rx7's in there when I had my volvo there.....I was hoping to get an opinion from the experts before I show up....

Thje electrical guage is suppose to drop when turning on the headlights. or powerwindows, or whatever draws more current.

The other guage is the oil pressure...

The roar or noise you hear in the middle is probally the transmission mount..

Groan could be rear wheel bearings?

 

Sounds like it needs a wheel alignment.

 

Or someone over-cranked the steering gearbox in an attempt to "cure" a sloppy steering condition, that was probably actually caused by a sloppy idler arm, which, if the bushings are bad enough, can cause the center link to bang up against the oil pan when making a left turn.
