84 gs... value?

I never thought I'd be the one on here asking the value of my car due to selling, but I am. I'm looking to move onto a second gen, and eventually get an FB again in my later years. The car is a 1984 GS model with 122,XXX miles. The oil rings near the engine are a bit gone, so it smokes a bit at startup then its fine. It has been properly maintained throughout the last two owners, and the last being my father. The suspension has been fixed up with some new bushings, ball joints, and control arms. I will check the compression soon, but lets ASSUME it has good compression. It has no body damage except for a dime size crack in the windshield, few rust spots no bigger than quarters, except theres rust along the interior bottom trim of the door, and theres a few little dings here and there along the hood and doors. It has been properly maintained and passed inspection here in Virginia within the last 6 months. The interior is in excellent condition, and has a tapedeck/radio installed. I have a 2nd gen alternator I will put in before I sell it, and it has the 2gcdfis w TT. The exhaust is fine. It recently got new plugs, wires, oil, filter, fuel filter, and fuel pump. The gas tank light does not work, and the oil gauge is a little off than the dipstick. It does NOT have power windows, p antenna, nor sunroof.

What do you guys think I should sell it for honestly??

if the bin rust isn't too bad, i'd say it would be safe to say you could get $1200 for it....but you would probably have to wait for the right buyer. now is a good time to see though with spring coming along. but don't expect to sell it for more than say $1400. i'd say you could get $1000 easily, and if you take your time waiting for the right buyer, $1500. that is if the compression really is good and it pulls hard

that's my 2 cents

I just bought an '84 GSL for 1,400 that has no real problems at all (which I'm pretty picky and wouldn't buy any FB other than a GSL or GSL-SE), but if I were looking for a non GSL I would pay up to 1,200 for one in good shape. The options, other than limited slip and disc brakes, don't really matter to me at all so I'd pay the same for one with power windows and no lsd as I would with one without power windows and no lsd. Chances are I would try and talk you down to 1,000, perhaps even a little lower, but if it were in good shape I could see paying 1,200.
