84 brakebooster into 79 chassis
Back when my van was stolen, I lost the original brakebooster.
Fortunately I found another one at a recycler, its from an 84 and is just a tit larger,
actuaklly its exactly so big that the clutchcylinder doesnt fit in its holes anymore, its a matter of maybe ½inch or so.
Any suggestions before i start drilling new holes and relocate it???

I don't know if it will make a difference in the braking performance, but there is a possibility that the '84 booster you bought was made for disc brakes in the rear. Just something to think about if you still have drums in the back.

I had the same problem.
Take the clutch master out, put the brake booster in and then put the clutch master back in, it will be on a slight angle but its ok, do the nuts up as tight as you can, I drove the car for a few months like this without problems before I sold the it.
