81 parts car brought to life

Well Sam (bad83) and I went in halves on a 81 parts car. I needed the wiring and rearend and he wants the motor and tranny. Well being he wanted the motor and tranny he wanted to see if it work in the car before we pulled it. the car has sat for who knows how long and rusted all the H*LL. well i ended up pulling the wiring and ignition to fab up my fb wiring swap in my 79. after that it was kind of a shot in the dark to fire up the other car. sam and i worked on it a couple times getting the sa ignition switch hooked up and then checking over the fluids. Well today sam came over early to find the fuel pump not even wired up. he fixed that and drained the tank, while i was at work. once i got back we started adjusting the distributor, and also cleaning the plugs. we put some premixed gas in the tank to insure lub on the seals. and then he started cranking on it and nothing was happening. i started shoting ether down its throat and after ten mins "ITS A LIVE". smoked like a bonfire but cleared up. once running we put the air cleaner back on and just closed off all the hose to the cleaner with sticks. LOL we zip tied the igntion on the column and bolted up the steering wheel. we spun the h*ll out of the back yard and had a blast. i even let my wife drive it. we taught her how to do donuts, i think she might be coming around about the whole rotary thing (cross your fingers). well we drove it for agood 30 mins taking turns spinning up the yard LOL fun stuff hell it idles and revs good for a frankenstein LOL

Well the only negivtive thing is my wife ask me why mine does not crank up and run as good as that one. well some times you just got to tune them out LOL

yeah well it was just in the backyard and on bald tires so it was basically just fun. the best part was teaching my wife how to do it. she did not get the concept, but once she figured it out she was grinning ear to ear

81 parts car $300
Making it run $10 & pain in the ***
my wife's face and the amount of fun PRICELESS

Man. We had some major giggles bringing that one back from the grave! Ain't nothing like two grown men giggling like a couple of school girls when that thing finally busted off! We did have some fun teaching Robbie's wife how to do donuts! No begins the plans for the organ donor swap into the '80 SA. Can you say, track car? Bwahahahaha!

Ha ha, I have an 81 parts car that I used to tear *** around in before I stole the suspension off it. It was a complete wreck, the top of the car was sawzalled off, the car was gutted and wires were hanging everywhere, loose bolts ratteling around, and I ran just a straight exhaust manifold, I would get the most confused looks from people when I would take it out on the street. LOL
