81 12a vs 84 12a

So i have an 84 12a and am looking at getting another first gen for parts. i have found an 81 gs and am wondering what the main differences are in the engine bay. the only thing i've found is that the 84 has the bee hive oil cooler up top and the 81 has a cooler down by the rad. are there any other differences? I'm wanting this car so i can take the engine out. finish designing my 12at, tune it then put it in the 84.

does anyone know if i'll run into some issues?

i don't think there's any differences in the 81-85 12a. everything should swap over just fine.

all the same as far as putting the 81 motor in the 84 or vice versa, the 84 has a lighter rotating assembly though.
