80 RX7 Steering Wheel

I am looking for a steering wheel from an 79, 80 RX7 for my 85 SE. I like the original black grip for racing and would like to use this type in my SE. Anyone has an extra, I would be interested in taking it off your hands!

I have one hanging up in my garage like that, very sticky. It's in Canada though, I'll never use it, make me an offer.

couple of thoughts for you on this wheel swap:
1) 79 wheel will not fit because that year the splines are tapered and will not correctly fit the 1980 + shafts
2) This steering wheel style ( the SA "4-spoke") was available thru 1983 I believe.
3) there is a LEATHER version of this wheel, which has a really nice feel and finish - IF you can find one. They are fairly common, they were part of the leather-interior option, but they are usually in pretty bad shape. They look - obviously - nearly identical to their rubbery-finished bretheren, but the stitching to attach the leather is very distinctive, whereas the "stitching" is a fake imprint on the rubbery-version.
Good luck-

Thanks for the info, did not know that the steering wheel shaft was different on these models. I really liked the early steering wheels and have an 80 with one like that in your pic. I wanted one for an 85 SE I am building for SCCA ITS hillclimbing. Any suggestions? I really don't like the original SE steering wheels, they do not grip like the one you show in the pic. I guess I can spend a bunch for an aftermarket one, but thought I could just put an older one I like in it, guess I was wrong!

Also, I think only the gs steering wheel had the four spokes on it and the regular wheel had just two spokes.
