80 intake onto 83 12a problem

hey everyone. I just searched and couldnt find anything. I just put an intake off an 80 engine onto my 83 and realized that there is an extra port below the two center plate intake ports on my engine. However the 80 intake does not have a matching port to line up with this like the 83 did. I started my car with the 80 intake on and im pretty sure there is exhaust coming out of this port.
Is there a way to block this?? There must be an exhaust passage from the exhaust ports up there or something??
Thanks for any input

You'll have to get a piece of alminum welded to the bottom of the '80 manifold to block that port off. I haven't been able to do that yet so I'm using the intake manifold that came with my '83 engine.

or you could fill the little square hole in the engine block with jb weld or quick steel or something like that...
welding the aluminum plate would be the best way to fix it tho....
